OVH Servers Manager:Configuring servers

Preamble

For proper operation and to avoid any interaction between the customers it is important to separate servers per customer.

To do this you need to create an OVH NIC-handle per customer, and this is what we will do with this tutorial.

Creating NIC-handle

1 - In your manager select the server.

2 - In the miter "Administration" click on "Contact Management" as in the image below.

3 - Click on "Create a login"

You know the rest "the fields and create the NIC-handle"

IMPORTANT

• The information entered should be those of the technical manager of the server (Administrative contact remains the legal server responsable).

• The email address of contact should be your email to receive server informations... etc..

Change the server technical contact

1 - In your manager select the server.

2 - In the miter "Administration" click on "Contact Management" as in the image below.

3 - Click on the "Edit" button corresponding to the technical contact.

4 - Enter the NIC-handle previously created account and confirm.

That server is now controllable with the NIC-handle of the client.

IMPORTANT

You must assign all server from a client on the same NIC-handle so that it can access all the options such as IP FailOver switch between servers ... etc..
